The article presents information on the technological transformation of the Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL) in Manhattan, New York. According to the author, the SIBL confronts the fact that design instills the element of information processing. The collections of technological, scientific and business materials were consolidated in the Italian-style palazzo that houses the SIBL. Government resources, periodicals and private databases can be explored on-line or via CD-ROM. The library also has video-display terminals and touch screens which guide library users around the place. |
