In her junior year, she received an annual campus-wide scholarship, the Chris Hilbert Outstanding Chico State Friend Award. The author also discusses the influence of Kang Pha's father in her career choice. Kang Pha's works have included counseling Hmong students in the local high school to help them graduate and providing support for poor California residents through a freedom ride across the state. |
