The author provides information on two prairie falcons that he captured on August 25, 2010 and September 12, 2010 while he was banding raptors at the Moose Valley Farm banding station in Saint Louis County, Minnesota. He notes that the birds, which are said to be the first to be banded in the northeastern part of the state, were a hatch-year female prairie falcon and a hatch-year male prairie falcon. He also mentions that both birds looked healthy and showed no signs of previous captivity. |
