Abstract (English): Modelling research and material structure simulation implies a series of mathematical modelling steps, projecting them into mathematical formulas of the properties of the bodies developed from distortable materials, defining behaviour rules, describing and foreseeing the answer of these materials to different load conditions. Mathematical modelling implies the existence of experimental data which emphasise the characteristic of the bodies and their properties (also the test for the correctness of the model being used). Mathematical modelling means the development of mathematical formalism on one hand and the development of numeric algorithms and use of already created software packs (such as Matlab) in order to find the data determining concrete answers to practice problems in the other hand. It is this exact issue that the paper deals with, being the result of years of research of rock dislocation machineries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Romanian): Cercetarea în domeniul modelării şi simulării structurii materialelor presupune etape de modelare matematică, de transpunere in formule matematice a proprietăţilor corpurilor constituite din materiale deformabile, de definire a legilor de comportament, de descriere şi prognoză a răspunsului acestor materiale la condiţii diferite de solicitare. Modelarea matematică presupune existenta unor date de natură experimentală, care evidenţiază specificitatea corpurilor şi proprietăţile acestora (între altele utilizându-se testul corectitudinii modelului). Modelarea matematică înseamnă şi dezvoltarea formalismului matematic, dar şi elaborări de algoritmi numerici şi de utilizare a unor pachete de programe deja elaborate (de exemplu Matlab) pentru a găsi datele care determină răspunsuri concrete la probleme practice. In acest context se înscrie lucrarea de fata,fiind o rezultanta succinta a cercetărilor de ani, în domeniul sculelor de dislocare a rocilor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
