مستخلص: The article discusses the role of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) in the development of corporate governance in developing countries with particular emphasis on Pakistan. It reflects on the objectives of IFIs which secures their lending through improvement in corporate governance so that repayment of loans would become possible. It informs that Pakistan has been the main recipient of loans from IFIs, and discusses adaptation and convergence in the corporate sector of Pakistan.
