Works or contents are actively used in information networks and web environments. Differences among them can be compared to those between analog environment and digital environment in terms of relationships between copyrighted works (with acts of transmitting the works) and the media. The relationship of the rights of those works involves "Law on the Creation, Protection and Exploitation of Digital Contents", "Copyright Law" and "Law on Management Business of Copyright and Neighboring Rights". The rights protected by these three laws are described differently as "copyright", "author's rights and related rights" and "copyright and neighboring rights", respectively. This paper explains the differences among "copyright", "author's rights and related rights" and "copyright and neighboring rights". We can find out the relationships between rights management and the three rights to ownership of three rights of a maker of cinematographic works within the framework of "Japanese Copyright Law".
