مستخلص: AbstractCollege English education in China has changed in both teaching objectives and practical approaches with the growing application of modern information technology. This article will discuss the application of interactive patterns in a student-centered English audio-video speaking class (EAVSC) in computer-assisted language learning (CALL) environments. To study interactive patterns in EAVSC contexts, the authors followed the communicative language teaching (CLT) approach, and studied several interactive patterns in class activities, with the aim of developing students’ communicative language ability. In order to measure the effects of the interactive patterns and students’ preferences, pre- and post-tests were carried out, together with a comprehensive survey. Analyses of correlated data showed that such communicative interaction patterns were very effective as S-Ss (oral presentations), S-S (pair work dialogues) and Ss/Ss (discussions within groups of 3–5 students).
