| مستخلص: | Peak or maximum urinary flow rate has been useful to identify voiding dysfunctions, especially obstructive prostatic disease. However, the usefulness of peak urinary flow rate is limited unless volume voided and age also are considered, since we have defined previously the clinical and mathematical relationship of male peak urinary flow rate as a function of volume voided and age. An accurate method of adjusting peak urinary flow rate to a single value that incorporates age and volume voided is reported herein. This adjusted peak flow rate has been tested clinically by comparison of preoperative and postoperative voidings of prostatectomy patients, and its accuracy has been affirmed. |
