The availability of liquid nitrogen and simple, dependable instruments to apply this cryogen to various skin lesions have made cryosurgery one of the mainstays of modern dermatologic surgery. Cryosurgery is effective and safe for the removal of malignant and nonmalignant lesions. It may be used for recurrent as well as primary lesions and for lesions that present problems in management by other modalities. |
