مستخلص: Misonidazole (Ro 07–0582) is a radiosensitizer of hypoxic cells (Denekamp and Harris, 1975). Early studies with radiotherapy patients have been encouraging (Thomlinson et al., 1976). However, peak plasma levels of 100 µg/ml in patients have been associated with neurotoxicity (Dische et al., 1977). Since the drug is cytotoxic (Moore et al., 1976; Josephy et al., 1978) its effect has been tested on human lymphocytes in vitro, to gain insight into other side effects that might occur in clinical practice.
