الوصف: Background: The incidence of multiple births is high in Nigeria. Its successful management through antenatal to delivery and weaning in developing countries have remained difficult.Aim: To show that even in the absence of sophisticated equipment, good antenatal supervision and diligent post natal care can protect against foetal and neonatal wastages.Setting: Distant woods clinic in Port Harcourt, south -south NigeriaCase report: We report a case of successful management of preterm, low birth weight quadruplets (QI, QII, QIII, and QIV) delivered at 32 weeks by Caesarean section to a 30 year old primiparous mother. QIII and QIV developed septicaemia with conjugated bilirubinaemia and were managed with intravenous antibiotics, and QIV additionally had top up transfusion while QI had severe anaemia and blood transfusion.Conclusion: This report has shown that with dedication and skilled manpower, a lot can be achieved in reduction of perinatal deaths.Keywords: Successful management, quadruplets, Port Harcourt.
