| الوصف: | Based on focus groups with 76 teenagers (aged 16-19) across Yorkshire, this poster explores how the media and social norms have influenced how young people understand endometriosis and perceive the role of the medical profession in treating the condition.This presentation argues that a lack of formal education about menstrual health, online misinformation, advertisements that stereotype menstruating women, and a belief that society undermines women’s pain are obstacles to the diagnosis of endometriosis. |
