S ciljem proučavanja utjecaja supstituenata na termičko ponašanje para-supstituiranih metoksi-derivata dibutadiena, Wittigovom reakcijom sintetiziran je novi derivat 16, koji je zatim podvrgnut termičkim reakcijama. Produkti dobiveni prethodnim istraživanjem na sličnim strukturama u ovom slučaju nisu dobiveni. U svrhu proučavanja fotokemijskog ponašanja dibutadiena, Wittigovom reakcijom je sintetiziran nesupstituirani dibutadienski derivat 28. Kao glavni produkt dobiven je benzobiciklo[3.2.1]oktadien 29. Dobivena biciklička struktura pokušala se funkcionalizirati reakcijom fotokatalitičke oksigenacije uz Mn(III)-porfirin kao katalizator. In order to study the influence of substituents on the thermal reaction of p-methoxy- substituted dibutadienes, the new derivative 16 was synthesized by Wittig reaction and exposed to thermal reactions. Products gained by previous studies on similar structures in this case were not isolated. In order to study photochemical behavior of dibutadiene, a new unsubstituted derivative 28 was synthesized by Wittig reaction. Benzobicyclo[3.2.1]octadiene 29 was isolated as a main product. The bicyclo-structure was tryed to functionalize by the photocatalytic oxygenation with Mn(III) porphyrin as a photocatalyst.
