الوصف: This article explores the use of slings in hoists in clinical settings and the rise of injuries in the UK resulting from user error. The findings of a questionnaire survey which sought to identify which staff were involved with the prescription of hoist slings, and how much training they receive to help with this task, are presented. The findings are discussed in the context of rises in user-related accidents, and recommendations are made for future research.
