الوصف: A brushless DC-Motor with an extremely large gap (5 mm) between rotor and stator was developed for driving centrifugal blood pumps. As rotor a permanent magnet of neodym-iron with a diameter of 35 mm and a thickness of 7 mm was used. At 9 V an output power of 7 W and an efficiency of approx. 70% were achieved, up to 15 W were possible. The paper describes the layout of the magnetic circuit and its numerical simulation and gives experimental data.
