The increasing use of technology to deliver psychological interventions has the potential to dehumanize mental health care and deny the need for human connectedness. This chapter explores how humanity and personhood might be retained in a digital age by using a human factor approach to design person-centered e-interventions, and how e-interventions can be conceptualized within a relationship-centered paradigm. The potential application of attachment theory to guide research and practice in the development of humanistic e-interventions is critically explored.
