The fiber loop carrier system aimed at the FTTC deployment, in short FLC-C, is now being developed to provide Korea Telcom's subscribers with the broadband interactive services such as VOD, Internet etc. The system is largely made up of two parts; one is the telephone offices' equipment called HDT; the other is the subscribers' equipment called ONU which is installed outdoors in the area of densely populated residents. Firstly, this paper gives an outline of FLC-C system, and then introduces its network configuration and services. Secondly, its outdoor ONU cabinet and power supply are presented and lastly, a remote-centralized power monitoring architecture is dealt with.
