الوصف: Left atrial appendage occlusion is an evolving technology with demonstrable benefits of stroke prophylaxis in patients with atrial fibrillation unsuitable for anticoagulation. This has resulted in the development of a plethora of transcatheter devices to achieve epicardial exclusion and endocardial occlusion. In this review, the authors summarize the differences in technique, target patient population, outcomes, and complication profiles of endocardial and epicardial techniques.
