الوصف: A tracer method using a miniaturized fiberoptic refractometer as a measurement of flow rate in a thin elastic tube was proposed. In this paper, the sensing principle and construction of this refractometer, which is capable of being inserted in to a thin tube, are described. Using this refractometer, an experimental study was performed on the possibility of measurement of flow rate in a thin tube. A theoretical study was also carried out to clarify the measurement error.
