الوصف: Fluctuational dynamics in a long Josephson junction is studied via numerical solution of the sine-Gordon equation with allowance for the effect of white noise. It is shown that, in the case of a uniform distribution of the bias current and a constant density of the critical current, the lifetime of the superconducting state increases substantially with the junction length and tends toward a constant when a few Josephson lengths are attained.
