الوصف: Both dry (as- fabricated water content) and waterlogged fuel rods were tested to establish the approximate energy depositions required to cause damage and/or failure, to determine the form and extent of damage as a function of energy deposition and testing history, and to obtain information on the consequences associated with tests where failure occurred. This document provides an account of a finite phase of the Subassembly Test Program. The information presented is considered preliminary in all respects and may be subsequently refined or revised. Final results will be published either in regular professional journals or in Phillips Petroleum Company topical reports. Transient fuel performance tests were performed on F-type fuel rods in the Capsule Driver Core (CDC) at Spert.
