The constraints generated by the conditions of implementation, mainly related to the available roof's surface and orientation, the high price of photovoltaic modules and the auto shading, are the most important aspects in a designing process of a photovoltaic system. Solar tracking technologies can improve the amount of energy yield. There are two basic types of tracking systems for solar conversion systems: astronomically guided systems and “intelligent” systems that detect the brightest point in the sky, technologies which can harvest up to 46% more solar energy than fixed systems. Both systems ensure the precise alignment of the photovoltaic modules with the direction of incident solar radiation and the value mentioned above refers to solar tracking systems with two axes. For large photovoltaic systems, the complexity of the structure and the number of driving elements are sensible subjects of cost-optimal studies. In this paper, a single axis solar tracking systems based on astronomically programs are studied. Numerical simulations of the monoaxial orientation programs are made for laws of motion differentiated upon the number of steps that have to do the actuation mechanism of the strings arrangement of photovoltaic modules. As results, the optimized number and displacement of photovoltaic modules, and the motion law for the solar tracking system are established in order to reach a maximum efficiency of solar radiation yield. The generated power is intended to be used in an existing Hybrid RES of a "Solar House" to ensure the Nearly Zero Energy Building status for it.
