The common benign tumors of the larynx are laryngeal papilloma, hemangioma, fibroma, lipoma and chondroma. The clinical symptoms vary in the size and location of the tumor. The early symptoms are atypical, including hoarseness, pharyngeal foreign body sensation or obstructive sensation. Hemoptysis can be presented in patients who have hemangioma. Dyspnea and/or dysphagia can be presented when laryngeal benign tumors get larger.
