الوصف: Optical Polarimeter works on the principle of rapid modulation of light and measures the angle of rotation caused by passing polarized light through an optically active substance. The Polarimeter which was designed some years ago is having embedded based control system. Because of this kind of controlling system, it requires large area to place such type of the instrument also controlling for the same can only done from the place where the instrument has been placed. This paper gives an idea to overcome these two problems. It proposed the use of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) based control system to fulfil both requirements. The Spartan 3E FPGA board requires less area then embedded system and it allows communication between host PC and instrument. This paper proposed to obtained similar type of result as previously.
