The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of building systems and to propose methods of building system analysis and integration. Building components are classified into four major systems; structure, mechanical, envelope, and interior system. There are 11 combinations between major systems. Three integration modes(physical, visual, and functional integration) and 12 integration strategies are proposed. A case study of Richards Medical Research Buildings designed by Louis I.
