الوصف: This paper presents the design reviews of 8 to 36 GHz phased array system using piezoelectric transducer (PET). The PET controlled phased array provides benefits such as a low cost, extremely wide bandwidth, and easy fabrication. The proposed phased array system employs a lx4 power divider, PET controlled phase shifter, and four antipodal tapered slot antennas (ATSAs). The multi-thru PET controlled phase shifter showed a total perturbation loss of less than 4 dB up to 40 GHz, with a maximum phase shift of more than 650°. The measured radiation pattern validates the beam scanning performance of the fabricated broadband array system.
