الوصف: In this report, nonlinear optical single crystals of L Isoleucine D Alanine a potential nonlinear optical material was conveniently grown by slow solvent evaporation technique. The grown crystals were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffractometry (XRD), optical absorption spectrum to reveal the cut off wavelength and the optical band gap energy. The structure is obtained using Gaussian 09 software. The micro hardness test of the sample revealed the category which the crystal belongs to. The SHG efficiency of the grown material is determined using NLO test using Kurtz Perry powder technique.
