Photon-photon scattering and photon-scalar particle scattering via gravitational interaction (one-graviton exchange) and comparison of the processes between classical (general-relativistic) theory and the quantum linearized field theory
We calculate the cross-section for the photon-photon scattering and for the photon-scalar particle scattering both with classical and with quantum linearized theory of gravitation. We find a sort of a correspondence-principle connection between these two different methods and we find again confirmed that the gravitational action of a beam of light is twice as great as would be calculated on a Newtonian basis if we regarded the beam as filled with matter with the same energy density.
