الوصف: Microvascular imaging (MVI) is an advanced Doppler ultrasound technique, permitting detailed evaluation of microvessel architecture without the need for contrast agents. The clinical applications of the technology are broad, with a growing body of evidence suggesting a potential role for MVI in the characterisation of benign and malignant focal liver lesions (FLLs). This review discusses the current evidence regarding the use of MVI in the assessment of FLLs, with a proposed algorithmic approach to radiological work-up of FLLs based on MVI features. Ongoing research and future directions in the field are highlighted.
