Focus on the analysis of beginning teachers about the teaching profession and the motivation for this profession and suggestions for possible changes. The issue is focused on finding out opinions about the motivation of students and graduates of the Faculty of Education for pedagogical education and teaching in primary schools. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey among students on the Faculty of Education and interview with new young teachers in primary schools, focused primarily on their motivation and decision-making for higher education focused on pedagogy and the profession of primary school teacher
