الوصف: Peter BUČKO, The Cults of Hungarian saints of the 11th century. Praha 2021. Doctoral dissertation. Abstract The presented dissertation deals with the cult of the oldest saints of the Kingdom of Hungary. These are persons who were canonized in 1083 - King Stephen, his son Emeric, Bishop Gerard and in 1083, also Zobor monks and hermits Zoerard-Andrew and Benedict, and in 1192 King Ladislas joined them. The work also examines saints without a documented official hagiography, namely the Great Moravian ruler Svatopluk, the bishop of Pécs Maurus and the Hungarian king Solomon. A wide source base was used to analyse cults and individual hagiographies. Emphasis was also placed on preserved material monuments, patronage, and feasts.
