У статті йдеться про комплекс документальних жанрів, які склалися в Україні у процесі розвитку «табірного тексту» про радянські, польські, німецькі концтабори і в’язниці від 1930-х рр., включно з текстами- свідченнями непрофесійних авторів та в контексті формування постмодерної культурної парадигми з її світоглядно-естетичною кризою. Представлено можливі ракурси та методику літературознавчого аналізу не- письменницьких свідчень у найрізноманітнішій жанровій формі, далекій від знаних літературних зразків. Виходимо з теоретичного тлумачення літератури факту як царини жанрових модифікацій та словесного самовияву, що має не самоцінно-естетичне спрямування (мистецький пошук, фіксація й формування творчих задумів, стильові експерименти, рефлексія й самооцінка художника тощо), а передусім виявляє авторську настанову на пошук екзистенційної правди, ваги автентичного слова, здатного знайти у стражданні сенс світобудови, сенс людини й історії з усіма її катастрофами. The article develops, an investigation is made into a range of nonfiction genres in twentieth-century eastern Ukrainian literature, and more specifically, into the development of “prison camp texts” about Soviet concentration camps beginning in the 1930s, along with firsthand accounts which were written by amateur authors within the context of the formation of the postmodern cultural paradigm with its crisis with respect to the aesthetic world outlook. Approaching the fictional texts from various perspectives, a detailed study has also been made of the works of professional authors (novels, autobiographical accounts and short stories, etc.) as well as the testimonies of nonprofessional writers in the most varied genre forms far removed from any well-known literary models. The theoretical interpretation of non-fictional literature as a field of genre modifications and verbal self-manifestation is supplemented and substantiated. It not only has aesthetic direction (such as artistic exploration, the fixation and formation of artistic conceptions, stylistic experiments, authors’ reflections and self-appraisals), but above all it reveals the author’s purpose in his search for existential truth, the significance of authentic words, having the capacity to find in sufferings the meaning of earth’s creation, the meaning of the individual, and that of history with all its disasters.
