| الوصف: | Introduction and purpose: Midwifery is one of the oldest professions in history, including pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period and neonatal care, as well as caring for a woman throughout her life. As it is the case, midwives are expected to play an active role in the protection and promotion of mother and child health as well as in the training of midwives to serve in this field. Nowadays, a good health system and qualified midwife training programs can provide the adequacy of midwifery practices. It is possible for a profession to make changes in its own field and contribute to social development through the presence of undergraduate and graduate education programs. The midwifery profession in our country started formal education in 1800s and in 1982 started high school education. In 1992, associate degree midwifery education started. In the 1997 and 1998 academic years, health colleges were established and midwifery undergraduate education was started within these schools. Nowadays, 37 state universities and 12 foundation universities offer undergraduate midwifery education. In our country, graduate education programs are carried out by institutes established under the rectorate of the university. Nowadays, there are 16 state and 3 foundation universities and 18 master's programs in the midwifery department. At the same time, there are doctoral programs in 8 state universities within the Department of Midwifery. Materials and Methods: In this study, the historical development of midwifery vocational education was examined in this study which was prepared based on literature. Conclusion: As a result of this study, it can be said that midwifery education which is given at undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels has experienced progress and decline in the past. Giriş ve amaç: Gebelik, doğum, doğum sonu dönem ve yenidoğan bakımı ile birlikte kadına tüm yaşamı boyunca bakım vermeyi kapsayan ebelik, tarihin en eski mesleklerinden biridir. Her dönem olduğu gibi günümüzde de ebelerden, anne ve çocuk sağlığının korunması ve geliştirilmesinin yanı sıra bu alanda hizmet verecek ebelerin yetiştirilmesinde aktif rol almaları beklenmektedir. Günümüzde iyi bir sağlık sistemi ve nitelikli ebe eğitim programları ile ebelik uygulamalarının yeterliliği sağlanabilir. Bir mesleğin, kendi alanında değişim yapması ve toplumsal gelişime katkıda bulunması lisans ve lisansüstü eğitim programlarının varlığı ile mümkündür. Ülkemizde ebelik mesleği 1800’lü yıllarda formal eğitime başlamış ve 1982 yılında lise düzeyinde eğitime başlamıştır. 1992 yılında ön lisans ebelik eğitimi başlamıştır. 1997 ve 1998 eğitim öğretim yılında ise sağlık yüksekokulları kurularak, bu okullar bünyesinde ebelik lisans eğitimine başlanmıştır. Günümüzde 37 devlet üniversitesi ve 12 vakıf üniversitesinde lisans düzeyinde ebelik eğitimini mevcuttur. Ülkemizde lisansüstü eğitim programları üniversite rektörlüklerine bağlı kurulan enstitüler tarafından yürütülmektedir. Günümüzde 16 devlet ve 3 vakıf üniversitesi olmak üzere 18 üniversitede Ebelik Anabilim Dalı bünyesinde yüksek lisans programı mevcuttur. Aynı zamanda 8 devlet üniversitesinde de Ebelik Anabilim Dalı bünyesinde doktora programı mevcuttur. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu kapsamda literatüre dayalı olarak hazırlanan bu çalışmada ebelik mesleki eğitiminin tarihi gelişimi incelenmiştir. Sonuç: Çalışma sonucunda günümüzde lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora düzeylerinde verilmekte olan ebelik eğitiminin geçmişte ilerleme ve gerileme dönemleri yaşadığı söylenebilir. |
