الوصف: Proton and $\alpha$-particle energy spectra were measured in coincidence with fission fragments in $^{16}$O (96 MeV) + $^{232}$Th reaction. The multiplicity spectra were analyzed within the framework of a Moving Source Disentangling Analysis (MSDA) to determine contributions from different emission stages. The MSDA conclusively shows "ternary proton emission" as an essential component in the proton multiplicity spectra akin to ternary $\alpha$ particles. It is the first time that "ternary proton emission" has been disentangled unambiguously from pre-scission emission in heavy-ion induced fission. Inverse trajectory calculations were performed, showing that experimentally observed Total Kinetic Energy (TKE) and kinetic energies of both ternary $\alpha$ particles and protons are well reproduced simultaneously by a common scission configuration. Thus, the scission stage parameters of a fissioning nucleus have been obtained, showing quantitatively that the scission configuration is significantly stretched in ternary- than the binary-fission.
