الوصف: AIM: To investigate the effect of modified Chufeng Yisun Decoction on ocular surface inflammation after pterygium surgery.METHODS: A total of 60 patients(60 eyes)with primary pterygium who underwent pterygium surgery were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 30 cases(30 eyes)in each group. In the control group, patients were treated with pranoprofen eye drops, tobramycin dexamethasone eye drops, and deproteinized calf blood extract eye gel after the surgery. In the study group, patients were treated by oral modified Chufeng Yisun Decoction in addition to the treatments in the control group. The changes of ocular irritation symptoms, ocular inflammatory signs, tear interleukin 6(IL-6)levels, and tear ferning test(TFT)of patients in the two groups were assessed.RESULTS: The visual analogue scale(VAS)in patients of both groups was significantly lower at 2d and 1wk after the surgery than that at 1d after the surgery(all P
