الوصف: The papillary glioneuronal tumor is a recently described rare, supratentorial, neuroglial tumor. The tumor usually occurs in periventricular white matter of the temporal or frontal lobes in 11 to 41 year olds. Per our review of the English literature, development in the lateral ventricles has only been described in 4 cases. We describe a 34 year old female who had experienced headaches, vomiting and dizzy spells for several months. Initial evaluation and imaging at an outside hospital demonstrated a large intraventricular tumor. She was referred to our institution where Computed tomography (CT) showed a large, extensively calcified, heterogeneously enhancing mass suspected to be an intraventricular meningioma or ependymoma. She underwent a left parietal/temporal craniotomy for an intraventricular tumor diagnosed by histopathological analysis. Six months post operatively, there is no recurrence. The clinical imaging and pathological features with extensive vascular hyalinization are discussed.
