| الوصف: | First edition, second variant. This copy is identical to our other 1867 copy except that it shows three more Indian Reservations in Dakota, one more large Reservation in Colorado, and one on the border of California and Oregon. These correspond to the 1868 reduced size version of this map, so we assume that this was hand colored in 1868 and issued then. Also, there are considerable differences in the placement of mineral symbols - for example, this map shows a great deal of silver mining in the northern half of Colorado and the other issue shows none. A separately published thirty page booklet of "Notes" to the map accompanied this copy (see our #4695). Full color by state. Map is not dissected. Folds into brown cloth covers 27x23.5 with "Keeler's Map Of The U.S. Territories Pacific R.R. Routes Mineral Lands And Indian Reservations. 1867." stamped in gilt.
