There were two of these guns with the caravan and attracted a great deal of attention."; 4 "40 mm anti-aircraft guns, one of Uncle Sam's finest and most deadly weapons for defense. This gun has automatic firing devices and has rendered invaluable service in the war to date."; 5 "The crowds at second South and Main in Salt Lake City watching the parade go by."; 6 "Another view of the parade down Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT."; 7 "The Logan High School band bringing the caravan into town and providing additional color. The honored guests on this stand from left to right are as follows: Governor Herbert B. Maw; General Joyce, Commander of the 9th Corps area; Mayor Ab Jenkins of SLC; Col. Davison, Chief of Staff and assistant to Gen. Joyce, Commander of the Clearfield situation; Col. Converse R. Lewis, Commander of Cam.

The "Big Parade" was an army caravan that toured Utah from April 15-27 to sell war bonds in the national Second War Loan Campaign. The parade traveled through almost every city and county in Utah. Utah's goal was to raise $50,000,000 in bond sales but exceeded that by over $1,000,000.
