The Jessica Furman scrapbook contains a student-created book entitled "Our Journey to Topaz." The book describes their class trip to Topaz, Haiku poetry, and an interview with camp internee Grace Oshita. Also contained are a Japanese tea party schedule and a bumper sticker. The students, third and fourth-graders, were from the Realms of Inquiry Charter School.

ملاحظة: Jessica Furman was a teacher at the Realms of Inquiry school. Ms. Furman's class focused on Utah and Japanese history as well as current social issues. Students read books, wrote essays and poetry, created artwork, discussed war-time issues and civil rights, interviewed Grace Oshita, an internee of Topaz, visited the University of Utah's Special Collections Department and saw photos, posters, letters and other primary source documents, and spent time with Jane Beckwith at the Topaz Museum and Topaz Internment Camp.
