مستخلص: An essential part of almost all air defense simulation models is the visibility subroutine. This subroutine performs the necessary computations and provides the data required to determine whether or not enemy aircraft or missiles may be detected by the air defense system radars. That is, whether or not they are within radar range and if they are masked by terrain irregularities and/or the curvature of the earth. The MAVD program is a new approach to the visibility subroutine and provides a completely general and, in many cases, a more accurate visibility subroutine. The Allocation program provides a systematic, objective method for computing the optimal deployment of any air defense system. (Author)
