| مستخلص: | Insurgency is one of the most difficult challenges confronting operational leaders and planners across the range of military operations. A comprehensive analysis of an insurgency is a critical first step of any operational design to counter such a threat. By utilizing Southern conservative resistance to Republican Reconstruction governments from 1865-1877 and subsequent Redemption as a case study, this paper will demonstrate the efficacy of such an approach both for identifying possible critical vulnerabilities in an insurgency that may be exploited, as well as draw lessons learned that may be valuable in contemporary operations. |
