At the Directorate for Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Housing, Physical Planning and Environment targets are set for the emission reduction of black list and priority substances by industry. At the Laboratory for Waste materials and Emissions inventories were made up for those substances for which criteria documents have been made. These inventories include the industrial emissions in 1985 and the estimates for 2000 and 2010 depending on measures to be taken on account of information available in the criteria documents. The results are presented in the annex to this report. There was no time to update old data. Better data will become available when process descriptions are being prepared in the course of 1991 ("SPIN", a co-operation project of RIVM/LAE for process descriptions of industry in the Netherlands). Furthermore this report presents a table where a comparison has been made between concentrations of substances in the environment and the limit values and target values. In case a value is exceeded the importance of industry is indicated.
