| مستخلص: | The Oriental monarchies from Anatolia formed at the same time within the disaggregation of the Persian Empire after its conquest by Alexander the Great and his death. These monarchies were an example intermingling of native Oriental, Persian and Greek elements that these monarchs gladly imitated. The adoption of Greek by the Elites or the minting of Greek-like coins is some of the examples of this imitation of Greek ele¬ments. This paper’s goal is building a scheme of the different tries at Hellenization carried out by this Petty Kingdoms’ rulers while trying to explain why these monarchs put this policy into practise. Las monarquías orientales de Anatolia se formaron a la vez que los distintos reinos helenísticos dentro del marco de la disgregación del Imperio Persa posterior a la conquista por Alejandro Magno y su muerte. Estas monarquías fueron un ejemplo de mestizaje entre lo propiamente asiático, los elementos persas y la llegada de nuevos elementos griegos que los monarcas estuvieron ávidos de imitar. La adopción del griego por parte de las élites o la acuñación de monedas similares a las del resto de monarquías helenísticas son algunos de los ejemplos de esta imitación de lo griego. El objetivo de este artículo es intentar hacer un esquema de los distintos intentos de helenización llevados a cabo por los gobernantes de estos reinos desde la muerte de Alejandro hasta la ascensión al trono de Mitrídiates VI así como intentar esbozar por qué estos monarcas desearon llevar a cabo esta política. |
