ffl"er Prmirrf rffOurney TAMlKA LASHELL JARMON TAMlKA LASHELL JARMON was born in Houston, Texas on March 8, 1977 to Evelyn Marie Crawford of Houston, Texas and Morris Jarmon of Smithville, Texas. Tamika was smart, competitive, ambitious, motivated and strong. These qualities caused her to excel personally, in her studies and on her career path. Tamika accepted Christ at an early age and was a long term member of New Bright Star Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas, where she was baptized and served under the leadership of the late Dr. L.J. Scott. She continued to serve under the leadership of Reverend Michael Nichols, Sr. M. Div., who succeeded Dr. Scott until 2008. She later united with Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. Marcus Cosby where she was a member of the P.O.D - Psalms of David Choir until her death. Tamika was a daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend; but her most important role was one of a devoted mother to Tiarra Jarmon. She strived each day to set a strong example and was proud that Tiarra had also excelled in her studies, graduating from Jack Yates High School with Honors and moving forward to attend Texas Southern University. Tamika attended Foster Elementary School, Cullen Middle School, Jack Yates High School, University of Houston-Downtown and Kaplan University. She graduated from Jack Yates High School - Class of 1995-and was an active alumna until her death. Tamika graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from University of Houston­Downtown in 20II. She then attended Kaplan University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections in 2014. Tamika Jarmon started by becoming a correctional officer in 2012. She was then sworn in by The State of Texas on October 16, 2014 and worked as a Parole Officer until her death. Although she will be missed, she leaves us with wonderful memories and life lessons to reflect upon. Tamika cherished spending time wi
