| مستخلص: | This essay addresses in an analytical and argumentative way false or distorted information, in the context of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 since 2020, the year in which this pandemic appeared, knowing that timely and reliable guidance is a matter of life and death. The disinfodemy, as this communicational phenomenon has been called, has been fostered by the digital media. This paper provides a perspective on the scope of the terms used in this communicational problem, explaining and discussing the various theories of the origin of the virus which started in social networks. It also analyzes the contents published in the digital media regarding the myths about the prevention and treatment of the disease and identifies the different consequences of digital disinfodemy on the Nicaraguan population. El presente ensayo aborda de manera analítica y argumentativa la información falsa o distorsionada, en el contexto de la crisis sanitaria generada por el COVID-19 desde el año 2020, año en que surge esta pandemia, sabiendo que es un asunto de vida o muerte una orientación oportuna y fiable. La desinfodemia, como se le ha llamado a este fenómeno comunicacional, ha sido propiciado por los medios digitales. En este trabajo se pone en perspectiva el alcance de los términos usados en esta problemática, explicando y debatiendo las diversas teorías del origen del virus que circularon en las redes sociales. También se analizan los contenidos publicados en los medios digitales referente a los mitos sobre la prevención y tratamiento de la enfermedad y se identifican las diversas consecuencias que trajo consigo en la población nicaragüense la desinfodemia digital. |
