Present tools for the recognition of deformation in the fish are mainlybased on the application of Geometric Morphometrics that requires themanual selection of homologous landmark points in the form of x and ycoordinates on fish’ images, which again is a time consuming task thatdemands expertise and practice with mathematical modelling. The aimof this research is the setting up of an automatic recognition programdeveloped by Geometric Morphometrics and Artificial Intelligence, inorder to accurately estimate the percentage and severity of deformedgilthead seabream from digital radiographs in a sound and rapid way,without the need for manual inputs
