| الوصف: | Bien qu'âgée de plus d'un demi-siècle, l'holographie continue à être relativement mal connue, tant scientifiquement qu'en termes d'applications. Il est vrai que son aspect le plus spectaculaire, l'imagerie, est sans doute celui qui a le moins bien "réussi" faute d'avoir pu percer auprès du grand public et en dépit d'une évolution "fulgurante" à ses débuts. Aujourd'hui ce sont surtout les applications industrielles, aéronautique et espace, médicales, éducatives, voire militaires qui continuent à se développer sans que le public s'en rende compte. À côté, plusieurs techniques d'imagerie plus spectaculaires les unes que les autres ont vu le jour et occupent le terrain en s'appropriant la qualification abusive "d'holographique". Ce sont principalement des répliques de Pepper’s Ghosts, et plus récemment des avatars électroniques. Sans doute, devrons-nous nous accommoder de cette mode puisqu'elle a les faveurs et l'intérêt du grand public ? Mais il est de notre devoir de signaler que ce ne sont pas de "vrais hologrammes" Although more than half a century old, holography continues to be relatively poorly understood, both scientifically and in terms of applications. It is true that its most spectacular aspect, the imagery, is undoubtedly the one that has been the least "successful" for lack of having been able to break through to the general public and despite a "dazzling" evolution at its beginnings. Today it is mainly industrial, aeronautics and space craft, medical, educational and even military applications that continue to develop without the public realizing it. Besides, several imaging techniques, each more spectacular than the other, have emerged and occupy the field by appropriating the abusive qualification of “holographic”. They are mostly Pepper Ghosts replicas, and more recently electronic avatars. Undoubtedly, will we have to accommodate ourselves to this assertion since it has the favors and the interest of the general public ? But it is our duty to point out that these are not "real holograms" |
