الوصف: Abstract. — A new very general (computer) method is proposed for decomposing the solar photometric spectrum with the aid of Gaussian components, and without making use of any information about already identified lines. The method has been applied to the wavelength range λ 6105-λ 6150 of the solar data published by Delbouille, Neven and Roland (1973) and led to the recognition of 239 absorption lines, finding anew the 120 lines mentioned in the S.R.R.T, and multiplying by a factor 2 the number of detected (weak) lines. An example is given to illustrate the nearly perfect reproduction obtained.
