| الوصف: | L'Arqueologia no és més - ni menys - que una ciència, l'objecte d'estudi de la qual són les conseqüències materials de l'acció humana. Amb la formalització d'aquestes conseqüències a través de les matemàtiques, aconseguim transformar una anàlisi arqueològica en una problemàtica de tipus històrica, a resoldre a través de la reflexió de l'arqueòleg o l'arqueòloga. NO serveix per a res quantificar qualsevol tipus de dades sense una metodologia correctament assimilada ; la tasca descriptiva és completament insuficient. Amb l'ús de les ciències exactes no pretenem donar-li un fals cos de cientificitat a l'Arqueologia, sinó ser conscients que aquests són l'única eina rigorosa per formalitzar la variabilitat observable al registre arqueològic i, així, plantejar l'estructura causal de la qual prové. En aquest article ens centrarem els nostres estudis de territori i, a través d'un exemple pràctic, demostrarem la gran diversitat d'informacions que ens poden oferir. Archaeology is not more (nor less) than a science, whose objects of study are the material consequences of human action. With the formalization of these consequences through mathematics, we fulfill to turn archaeological analysis into a historical issue wich can be answered by the archaeologist. Trying to quantify any possible data without a correct methodology is nonsense ; description is not enough. We are not trying to make Archaeology more scientific by using mathematics, but we need them because they are the only rigorous tool to formalize the variability of the archaeological material, in order to suggest the causal structure from where this variability comes. In this article we will focus on how these methods can help us with the arguments on we will base our territorial studies. Besides, we will show the large amount of information that they offer with a practical example. |
