| الوصف: | The objective of this work is to study the voice onset time (VOT) and the speed of transitions in diphthongs through the slopes of F2 in ataxic dysarthria, in addition to examining the relationship between these two acoustic measurements and severity of motor speech disorders. The results show higher VOT and greater variability and slower transitions in the dysarthric group. High correlation between these two measures and the level of speech intelligibility was found. Acoustic analysis has proved a useful tool for objective assessment of dysarthria. The two measures used in this study provide information on the severity of motor speech disorders and provide objective data that can be used in speech therapy and research. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el tiempo de inicio de la sonoridad (VOT) y la velocidad de las transiciones en diptongos a través de las pendientes del F2 en la disartria atáxica, además de examinar la relación entre estas dos medidas acústicas y la severidad de las alteraciones motoras del habla. Los resultados muestran valores de VOT más altos y con mayor variabilidad así como transiciones más lentas en el grupo disártrico, además de una correlación alta entre estas dos medidas y el nivel de inteligibilidad del habla. El análisis acústico ha demostrado ser una herramienta útil en la evaluación objetiva de la disartria. Las dos medidas utilizadas en este estudio proporcionan información sobre la severidad de las alteraciones motoras del habla y aportan datos objetivos que pueden ser utilizados en la terapia logopédica y en la investigación. |
